Galerie Monnin, in partnership with Bohio Ayiti and Wall House Museum will showcase a curated selection of artworks from the Monnin private collection.
The exhibition “Haiti, the soul of a country” presented at the Wall House museum in Saint-Barthélemy highlights emblematic works by recognized Haitian artists. We have drawn from our private collection 84 works by artists of all genres dating from the 70s to the present day. It is also an opportunity to highlight the impact of the Atelier Monnin on Haitian art. Michel Monnin, the conductor of an amazing orchestra of young talented artists, created a new genre within the Haitian art movement; to name a few: Simil, Frantz Zéphirin, the Blaise brothers (Saint Louis, Fabolon ,Serge & André), Manès Descollines, Carlo Jean-Jacques, Jean-Louis Sénatus, Yves Michaud, Fritz Merise and the list goes on...
